Guided setup

From purchase to live — step by step.

Follow this checklist in order. Each step links to a plain-English help article. Nothing here is technical guesswork — you're walked through every part.

Your setup checklist

Work top to bottom. You can pause and come back any time — your progress is saved to your account.

  1. Claim your account

When you bought your kit, an account was created for you automatically by email — no sign-up form to fill in. Claim it with a magic link (or set a password / sign in with Google).

Already entitled: claiming your account unlocks the customer knowledge base straight away.

  2. Set up your own hosting account

Your site runs on hosting you own. Create your hosting account through our recommended host using the link in the help article — it takes a few minutes and keeps everything in your name.

PLACEHOLDER: reseller link + affiliate path are added to this article once Damian signs up for the host's reseller + affiliate programmes (Damian-gated, B1).

  3. Point your domain

Have your own web address (yourname.com) point at your new site. The article shows the exact records to add, with screenshots for the common registrars.

If you don't have a domain yet, the article covers buying one too.

  4. Deploy your kit

Publish your site files to your hosting. The article walks through the one-time setup so that future updates publish automatically.

PLACEHOLDER: the deploy/domain pipeline + host stack are Damian-gated (B6) — article finalised once the pipeline is chosen.

  5. Connect your own Stripe

Add your own Stripe key so payments go straight to your bank. You stay in full control of payouts, refunds and your customer data — we never sit in the money flow.

Decided: customers bring their own Stripe (their key → their bank). Pair this with the API-keys help article so you know exactly where to find your key.

  6. Create your first course, product or event

Add something to sell or teach: build a course with modules and lessons, set up a product with a price, or (when bookings land) create an event. Set a cover image so it shows as a tidy tile.

Events/bookings are coming soon — until then that part of the article is marked as on-the-way, never faked.

  7. Go live + invite your people

Do a final check, switch Stripe out of test mode, and share your site. Post a welcome in your community area and you're open for business.

Test thoroughly in test mode first — no real card can be charged until you switch over.

Where to get help along the way

Every step above links into the knowledge base — your private, login-only help library.

  • The knowledge base

Plain-English how-to articles for setup, selling, teaching, community and billing. It lives in your account and opens once you've claimed it.

  • Refunds + recurring

Articles cover how refunds work (straight through your Stripe) and how to run a weekly-paid, drip-fed multi-week course.

  • Your community area

Each course has a private group feed — think a focused WhatsApp group for your students. No DMs, threads or noise; just your class.
